Mugshot Success Story
By introducing the NORIS Mugshot system, the Lucas County Sheriff’s
Office has realized an annual savings of $40,000 through the elimination
of costs for film, processing, and chemicals from their departmental
budget. In addition, the office has also experienced substantial savings
in personnel expenditures with the increased efficiency of the new
process.
The NORIS Mugshot system digitally records arrestee and inmate
mugshots, linking them with physical description, charges, RID numbers,
and other data. An unlimited number of digital images can be linked to
records, such as scars, marks, tattoos, and injuries. The digital
mugshots are integrated into the NORIS network and users are able to
access the information when needed. Mugshots are now available 24/7 to
authorized users in the system. |
