Electronic Subpoena

A computer keyboard

The Electronic Subpoena system uses e·mail to electronically send police officers subpoenas to appear to testify in a case or before a grand jury. A file sent by the court contains the subpoena information which is used to generate interactive electronic subpoenas that are issued to supervisory staff at the member police departments. The electronic subpoena can be served or returned to the Prosecutor’s Office. Cost savings include the timely delivery of subpoenas, paper reduction, immediate response action, reduced lost paperwork, and improved control by police command over subpoena and cancellations, as well as better and faster feedback for the Prosecutor’s Office for scheduling and the elimination of delivery costs.
